Training classes, co-ed, grouped by grade AKKA 1 for 2nd-4th, AKKA 2 for 5th-8th, AKKA 3 for HS ages;
“AKKA 1, 2, 3” for all levels of players, novice to experienced Where base technical needs of passing, receiving, and overall fundamentals of ball control, including 1v1s and all permutations up to 4v4 max are worked on regularly. 60 minutes in duration building from technical reps to adding partners and pressure, and often finishing with full pressure of a small game situation. Ultimately players become more efficient because technical repetition is combined with problem solving.
We offer this specialty clinic for a few weeks each season and visits are booked with the same “Flex Passes” used for our AKKA 1, 2, & 3 classes.
They’re great for field players who never have received formal or specific information on the base mechanics of striking a ball to score, from where to place the non-shooting foot, to the shape of the shooting foot, the follow through, and even for more advanced players who have a wrinkle to iron out or just want reps with an experienced coach that can offer objective and specific observations to improve their striking.
And for GKs, again, very useful for players new to the position to learn how to first safe in net, then learn basics of shot stopping, closing angles, dealing with through balls and 1v1s on goal, and more. More experienced players can also benefit from the reps and attention of a GK coach and the high level of focus they receive because we keep the numbers of players very limited at 6 max.
These sessions provide the reps and information to help both groups of players make concrete and immediate improvements to their games.
